Ciber COO steps down

January 07, 2014

Ciber Inc. (NYSE: CBR) Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Richard Genovese resigned from the Greenwood Village, Colo.-based information technology services company effective Jan. 16, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Genovese is leaving the company to pursue other professional opportunities, according to the company. He has served as the company’s COO since 2011.

Ciber is not planning to replace Genovese at this time and divisional and regional leaders will now report directly to the CEO, according to Betsy Loeff, director of corporate communications.

“I have a great deal of admiration and respect for the Ciber team, and believe they are well positioned for sustainable growth,” said Genovese. “While this was a difficult decision, opportunities outside of Ciber to further my career have become available. I believe that Ciber has put in place all the necessary building blocks and leadership to execute its strategic plan for solid revenue growth, margin expansion and a healthy, balanced portfolio of services.”

Ciber is an IT consulting company with about 6,700 consultants in North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific, and approximately $1 billion in annual revenue.
