China – Zhaopin opens second call centre to support growth plans

21 October 2014

Chinese job board Zhaopin Ltd (ZPIN: NYSE) yesterday announced the opening of a second call centre in Suzhou. The Suzhou call centre is expected to facilitate the acquisition of new customers in lower-tier cities, expand Zhaopin's market share in southern China, and will allow the Company to better serve small-and-medium-sized enterprises in a cost-effective way.

The company believes the new call centre, located in the Jiangsu Province in Eastern China, will directly complement and further strengthen its leadership position in southern China following the acquisition of Jobs DB China Investments Ltd and its consolidated affiliate Shenzhen Xijier Human Resources Co., Ltd (known as CJOL) from Jobs DB Inc., in June 2014.

Evan Guo, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Zhaopin, commented: "I am pleased to announce the opening of our second call centre which will further enhance our leadership position in southern China. Our call centres provide us with a highly cost-effective way to penetrate into lower-tier cities as we execute our strategy to increase our market share in China.”

“The Suzhou call centre will help improve our resource allocation to better serve SMEs and effectively target new customers. We will continue to make more cost-effective and focused investments such as this in order to solidify our position as a leading career platform in China, connecting the largest number of users with career opportunities throughout their career lifecycle," he added.
