China – NES Global opens regional office to meet demand

17 April 2014

NES Global Talent, the technical manpower specialist, announced yesterday that the company is opening a new office in Shekou, China. The new office will act as a regional hub for business activity across the south of the region, facilitating NES Global’s growth not only in Shekour, but also in other key locations; such as Zhuhai, Shenzen, and Guangzhou.

Joshua Schrijvers, Divisional Manager at NES Global Talent, said: “South China is strategically important to us. We have several key clients in the region and being on the ground means that we can also further improve our service to our candidates and contractors.”

“The potential in China is huge. There are many opportunities for us in both the North and South of the country, particularly in coastal cities such as Shekou, Qingdao, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Zhuhai. Chinese fabrication yards in these locations are winning more and more business from international owners and operators. These projects all need contractors with specific skills, which can be challenging, and this is where NES Global Talent can help as we provide a complete range of manpower solutions,” he added.

NES Global Talent’s Shekou office will be managed locally by Darren Pang, Senior Consultant, who has more than eight years’ oil and gas recruitment experience and was previously based in NES Global Talent’s Singapore office. NES Global Talent plans to make further hires during the course of 2014.

Mr Pang said: “South China is a hive of oil and gas activity, there are plenty of opportunities available. NES Global Talent offers a complete range of manpower solutions and we are particularly excited about growing our tailored recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) business in the region. I am looking forward to helping establish NES Global Talent as the top oil and gas manpower provider in China.”

Established in 1978, NES Global Talent has placed workers in 69 countries across the oil and gas, power and infrastructure sectors worldwide. In addition to Shekou, NES Global Talent recently opened a new office in Paris, France, bringing its footprint to 43 offices in 26 countries around the world, with more office openings in the pipeline for 2014.
