Chartwell Staffing Solutions, a staffing provider based in Lancaster, Penn., hired Dawn Gamble as CFO, effective July 27. She replaces Dion Soskin, who remains with the firm as a controller.

Gamble most recently was controller for Houck, a construction company in Harrisburg, Pa., as well as assistant controller for Rettew Associates, an engineering firm in Lancaster, Pa.

“We are thrilled to have a CFO with such a strong background in overseeing and processing payroll, related reports, and returns,” said President Tracy Kidan, who owns the 3-year-old company. “I believe Dawn’s background in multi-state taxation, operations expansion, creating new service areas and generating new revenue streams will fuel Chartwell’s growing momentum.”

Chartwell in March assumed control of a majority of the teams and 30 locations of Corporate Resource Services; CRS at one time ranked as the 22nd-largest US staffing firm before recently ceasing operations. Chartwell now counts 42 locations in 12 states.

Chartwell in June promoted Roderick Santoro to chief operating officer. In July, it acquired Eveready Staffing and Training in Ogden, Utah.
