The Census Bureau reported the U.S. employment services industry had revenue of $68.06 billion in the first quarter of 2014, based on seasonally adjusted estimates. That’s up 9.0 percent compared to the first quarter of 2013. First-quarter revenue rose 2.6 percent sequentially from the fourth quarter of 2013.

Employment services include employment placement agencies, executive search firms, temporary employment agencies and professional employer organizations.
