The Census Bureau reported the U.S. employment services industry had revenue of $66.52 billion in the fourth quarter of 2013. That’s up 2.9 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2012 based on seasonally adjusted estimates. Fourth-quarter revenue rose 3.3 percent sequentially from the third quarter.
Employment services include employment placement agencies, executive search firms, temporary employment agencies and professional employer organizations.
Census estimates of staffing industry revenue differ from other estimates.
