Census Bureau adds more economic data to app

The U.S. Census Bureau this week added three U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics economic indicators to its mobile app, America’s Economy. BLS’ nonfarm payroll employment, producer price index and consumer price index are now available via the app.

The America’s Economy app provides updated statistics on the U.S. economy, monthly economic indicators and trends, and a schedule of upcoming releases. It now offers 19 indicators.

The America's Economy app was developed as part of the Census Bureau's Digital Transformation Project and is available to Android and Apple smartphone and tablet users.

The 19 indicators on the app are:

  • New Residential Construction
  • New Residential Sales
  • Construction Spending
  • International Trade
  • Advance Report Durable Goods
  • Business Inventories
  • Manufacturers' Goods
  • Monthly Wholesale
  • Homeownership Rate
  • Quarterly Services Survey
  • Quarterly Financial Report — Retail Trade Quarterly Financial Report — Manufacturing

Bureau of Economic Analysis:

  • Gross Domestic Product
  • Personal Income and Outlays

Bureau of Labor Statistics:

  • Unemployment Rate
  • Producer Price Index
  • Consumer Price Index
