Sun Healthcare Group Inc. (NASD: SUNH) posted a 3.5 percent drop in its fourth-quarter medical staffing revenue. The company reported revenue of $22.7 million from its Careerstaff Unlimited division in the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2010, down from about $23.5 million a year ago.
Total fourth-quarter revenue at the company, which also operates long-term care facilities, rose 2.0 percent to $483.4 million from $473.8 million in the year-ago quarter. Net loss was $32.4 million in the fourth quarter, compared with income of $8.7 million a year ago.
Irvine CA-based Sun also provides therapy through SunDance Rehabilitation Corp. and hospice services through SolAmor Hospice.
