Forty-five percent of chief financial officers of Canadian companies interviewed for a Robert Half survey said it is at least somewhat challenging to find skilled financial professionals today.

The survey asked the question, “How challenging is it for your company to find skilled financial professionals today?” The responses were:

• Very challenging: 13 percent
• Somewhat challenging: 32 percent
• Not challenging: 24 percent
• Don’t know/no answer: 31 percent

Financial analysts, senior accountants, internal auditors, IT auditors, compliance officers and controllers are in particularly strong demand.

The survey included more than 270 CFOs from a stratified random sample of Canadian companies with 20 or more employees.
