CTPartners loses exec to firm seeking to acquire it

DHR International Inc., a Chicago-based executive search firm seeking to acquire CTPartners Executive Search Inc. (NYSE MKT: CTP), announced James DiFilippo joined the firm as executive VP based in its New York office. DiFilippo had been managing partner at New York-based CTPartners and also served as the head of the firms’ retail and consumer goods practice.

CTPartners is reviewing strategic alternatives for the company, which include an acquisition proposal from DHR.

Prior to his position with CTPartners, DiFilippo was the head of Whitehead Mann’s US retail practice, as well as a member of the management committee for North America. Previously, he was managing partner and VP of the retail specialty practice with executive search firm Korn Ferry International Inc. (NYSE: KFY).
