Second-quarter revenue rose 19.1% at information technology services and staffing company CIBER Inc. (NYSE: CBR) to $317.6 million from $266.5 million in the same period last year.

In the Greenwood Village CO-based firm's commercial division, which includes U.S. staffing, second-quarter revenue rose 11.2% to $99.9 million. Revenue in its state and local division, which also includes staffing, rose 4.2% to $36.9 million.

CIBER's gross margin slipped to 27.4% from 27.7%.

Net income rose 13.8% to $8.9 million from $7.8 million in the second quarter of 2007.
