CDI may appeal U.K. fine

CDI Corp.'s (NYSE: CDI) announced its AndersElite subsidiary in the U.K. was fined GBP7.6 million (US$12.1 million) for alleged violation of the U.K.'s Competition Act of 1998. The company said it plans to analyze the decision and will evaluate its options, including a possible appeal.

CDI said it has been cooperating with the investigation in the U.K. and has increased its focus on its compliance program.

Other firms cited by U.K. officials include A Warwick Associates, Beresford Blake Thomas, Eden Brown, Fusion People, Hays Specialist Recruitment, Henry Recruitment and Hill McGlynn & Associates. Hays Specialist Recruitment was fined GBP30.4 million (US$48.3 million).
