CDI buys engineering services firm

CDI Corp. (NYSE: CDI) acquired TK Engineering Associates, a 300-person engineering services firm based in Cincinnati. Terms of the deal were not announced.

TK Engineering specializes in engineering services for gas turbine engines for use in aviation and power generation as well as turbines for use in generating power from wind.

"This transaction is part of our overall strategy to build CDI capabilities in delivering high-value engineering services to our clients in targeted industries," said President and CEO Roger Ballou.

TK Engineering was founded in 1994.
