Butler International Inc., a Fort Lauderdale FL-based technical staffing and services firm, reported a net loss of $2.3 million in 2007, which included a $3.0 million income tax expense that was primarily non-cash. Butler posted a net loss of $471,000 in 2006.

Revenue also fell 2.9% in 2007 to $312.8 million from $322.0 million in 2006. Gross margin, however, improved to 18.7% from 17.9%.
