Engineering consulting and staffing provider Belcan LLC will acquire UK-based East Kilbride Engineering Services, an engineering consultancy that also provides engineering recruitment and staffing services.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016; terms were not disclosed.

EKES, founded in 1996 by former Rolls-Royce aero engineers, provides engineering solutions and recruitment services in the UK and Europe to engineering firms and manufacturers in a variety of sectors, including aerospace, marine, nuclear energy, and oil and gas.

EKES employs more than 300 engineers at its UK, Germany and Poland offices as well as within client facilities in the UK and Europe. Its executives will remain with the company for full management continuity.

“EKES is a perfect fit for Belcan, providing service enhancements and expanded market presence in the UK and Europe,” said Belcan CEO Lance Kwasniewski. “In addition, we believe Belcan can grow the EKES business in new markets, including the US, and invest in its exceptional core consultancy services and recruitment networks.”

The deal follows Belcan’s acquisition Tandel Systems Inc. earlier this month. Tandel provides technical services and support to customers in the aerospace and defense sectors.

Cincinnati-based Belcan ranks among the largest engineering staffing firms and is owned by private equity firm AE Industrial Partners LLC.
