Barrett Business Services Inc. (NASD: BBSI) struck a deal to buy Phillips Temps Inc., a staffing firm with one office in Denver. Barrett will pay $1.3 million on closing and $300,000 in 90 days for a total price of $1.6 million. Phillips had estimated 2007 revenue of approximately $4 million. Barrett said the acquisition will add two to three cents per share to 2008 earnings. Among Phillips' specialties are finance and accounting, engineering, information technology, marketing, and executive search.
