Average salary up 5% for 2015 grads

The overall average salary for US bachelor's degree grads in the class of 2015 is 5.2% higher than the final salary reported for the class of 2014, according to the 2015 Fall Salary Survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

The overall average salary for bachelor’s degree graduates from the Class of 2015 is $50,651, up 5.2% from the final salary of $48,127 for class of 2014 graduates, according to the 2015 Fall Salary Survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

The top-five average median salaries by discipline for bachelor's degree graduates:

  1. Computer and information sciences: $73,000
  2. Engineering: $67,000
  3. Liberal arts and sciences: $65,000
  4. Business: $56,762
  5. Social sciences: $48,000

The survey included 60 colleges and universities nationwide. The data represents actual starting salary data for those who graduated July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2015.
