Australian recruitment firm Rubicor Group Ltd (RUB: ASX) in a trading update yesterday reported revenue growth of +3.6% to AUD 53.5 million (USD 47 million) for the first quarter ending 30 September 2014. Underlying EBITDA for the period rose by +29.9% to AUD 700,000 (USD 615,552).
According to the company’s statement: “These results reflect the ongoing benefits from [the] restructuring of the Group, and demonstrate the scalability of the current operational platform. The successful execution of Rubicor’s growth strategies remains fundamental in achieving further operational leverage of the current platform, and to this end we have seen a number of actions that have contributed to this.”
The Group signed a number of new client agreements during the first quarter in Singapore and Hong Kong. All major contracts that were due for renewal during the quarter were also all re-signed or extended.
The company’s statement concluded: “The reported outcomes of these strategies further highlights that Rubicor is well placed to capitalise on opportunities in our markets over the coming year.”
