Australia – Healthcare Australia acquires Randstad’s regional care recruitment business

06 May 2015

Healthcare Australia (HCA), a privately owned healthcare recruitment firm, announced today that they are acquiring Randstad Care, the Healthcare & Community Care business of Dutch staffing firm Randstad, reports medianet.com.au.

The acquisition will allow HCA; which provides nurses, midwives, carers, doctors, and healthcare professionals, to combine the strengths of both organisations and cement its position as the top provider in Australia’s health and aged care market.

Healthcare Australia’s CEO, Jason Cartwright, commented: “The know-how and expertise of Randstad Care will be a valued addition to ours. It will allow us to add to our capacity, as well as enhance and extend our offering to better service our candidates and clients.”

“This new addition to the HCA team will reinforce HCA’s market leader position allowing us to cover the highest combination of sub-specialties than any other healthcare provider in Australia,” he added.

Ashley Steel, Randstad Community Care’s Director, stated: “This is an exciting opportunity for the Randstad Care team to take part in becoming the largest specialist provider in Australia. Having spent considerable time with the HCA executive team, I can confidently say that the Care teams are joining an organisation that mirrors the passion and commitment to our sector that we all possess and will be well supported in an environment where growth is driven through the passion of our people.”

The acquisition is expected to close in early June 2015. Financial details were not disclosed.
