Australia – Clarius Group appoints CFO

29 June 2015

Australian recruitment firm Clarius Group (CND: ASX) announced that Andy Watt has been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer, effective from 27 July 2015.

Mr Watt is a chartered accountant with extensive senior commercial management and technology-based finance experience in Australia and the UK.

He was previously CFO of Australian online betting company Tom Waterhouse, where he was instrumental in the sale of the company’s online betting business to UK bookmaker William Hill. He also held senior financial roles in the UK with Betfair and The Walt Disney Company.

Mr Watt replaces Iain Skelton, who will step down from his position on 17 July 2015.

The past two years have proven highly transitional for Clarius Group, in terms of the company’s senior management.

In October 2014, CEO Peter Wilson was appointed, replacing CEO and Managing Director Kym Quick. In November 2013, Garry Sladden was appointed to the role of Chairman, and in March 2014 one of Clarius Group’s founders, Geoff Moles, retired from the company’s board after 30 years service.
