Atterro to offer health insurance to temps

February 27, 2013

Minneapolis-based staffing provider Atterro Human Capital Group announced it will offer affordable health insurance coverage to its eligible temporary workers in 2014, in response to the Affordable Care Act.

Many traditional staffing companies offer their eligible temporary workers a limited-medical or “mini-med” plan, but the majority of these firms do not offer a major medical insurance option to these workers, the company said in a statement.

“It’s always been our focus to work with the best companies and to attract top talent. The Affordable Care Act allows us to provide additional benefits that will continue to set Atterro apart as a company people want to be associated with,” said Clay Morel, president and CEO of Atterro Human Capital Group. “For us, it was an obvious decision. By offering insurance, we are staying true to our dual mission: to be a great place for our talent to work and to provide a quality service to our clients.”

Atterro Human Capital Group owns four staffing brands: Pro Staff, specializing in administrative and light industrial; Digital People, specializing in creative, marketing, interactive and IT; Hunter Hamilton, specializing in finance and accounting; and engineering staffing firm Ware Technology Services.
