Artech acquires Pacific Northwest-based staffing firm

June 18, 2014

Artech Information Systems LLC, a multi-national staffing and professional services, acquired professional services firm Vega Consulting LLC.

Bellevue, Wash.-based Vega provides consulting and staff augmentation services primarily to large, publicly-traded organizations in the Pacific Northwest.

Vega will continue to operate under the Vega brand and with the same management team. John Pope has been named regional vice president.

Vega was founded in 2003 by Gunilla Luthra and counts more than 150 consultants focused on business and marketing consulting, project management, software licensing and support operations. Luthra will not remain with the firm.

“We are very impressed with the consistently high performance of the Vega team and we welcome them all to Artech.” said Artech’s Executive Vice President Ajay Poddar. “We are pleased to have an experienced management and delivery team in the Pacific Northwest and look forward to working with them to expand Artech’s growth in the region. We are also excited about the potential to offer the Vega team’s skills and capabilities in marketing, support operations, and non-technical project management to our existing clients.”

The transaction closed in June; terms were not disclosed.

Artech ranks No. 39 on Staffing Industry Analysts’ list of largest U.S. staffing firms and 12th on the list of largest IT staffing firms in the U.S. The firm provides workforce solutions, SOW-project support and outsourced services. It employs over 5,800 professionals and maintains over 23 locations across the U.S., India, and China.
