Analysts International loss narrows

The third-quarter net loss narrowed at Analysts International Corp. (NASD: ANLY). The information technology staffing and solutions company posted a loss $448,000 for the third quarter ended Sept. 29, compared with a loss of $522,000 in the third quarter of 2006.

Analysts International's third-quarter revenue grew 9.4% to $93.5 million from $85.5 million. Gross margin improved to 34.7% from 24.7%.

Earlier this month, Analysts International named Elmer Baldwin as president and CEO. He succeeded Mike LaVelle, interim president and CEO, who continues to serve on the board. LaVelle took over as interim CEO in February after former CEO Jeffrey Baker resigned.
