Allegis buys largest legal search firm

Allegis Group said Monday it has acquired privately held legal search firm Major, Lindsey, and Africa. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 1982, Major, Lindsey, and Africa has offices in the United States, London, and Hong Kong. It's the largest legal search firm in America and has $50 million in revenue (Staffing Industry Report, July 25, 2007).

"The acquisition of Major, Lindsey, and Africa is an exciting opportunity for us to expand the range of services that we provide to customers in a direction that is consistent with our business strategy," said Chris Hartman, executive VP of Allegis Group. "Major, Lindsey, and Africa brings us an outstanding team of recruiters and managers with proven experience in the legal search industry."
