Aequor Technologies, an information technology consulting and solutions company based in Piscataway, N.J., acquired Sound Advice’s life sciences staff augmentation practice. Sound Advice’s largest customers are Pfizer and Zoetis.

The transaction closed Aug. 25; terms were not disclosed. The Sound Advice brand will not be used and the firm’s executives will not join Aequor.

“The acquisition of Sound Advice makes sense both strategically and operationally,” said Kamalpreet Virdi, Aequor’s president and chairman. “This valued addition will help us continue to provide high-quality IT talent to meet the ever-growing staffing needs of the life science market; while bringing incredible growth opportunities to our firm.”

The life sciences practice is based in Scarsdale, N.Y.
