Adecco says global revenue up 5% in July, August

September 24, 2014

Adecco SA reported global revenue rose 5 percent organically in the first two months of the third quarter when adjusted for trading days.

The seasonal pickup in September has so far been weaker than normal — most notably in Germany and France. Adecco reports this reflects some uncertainty in parts of Europe consistent with the recent softer economic data. The company reported its North America business “is holding up well.”

Adecco made the announcement as part of its “Investor Days 2014” event which began today in Rome.

The company ranks as the world’s largest staffing firm, according to Staffing Industry Analysts’ new list of largest global staffing firms.

Adecco’s 2013 revenue was €19.50 billion (US$26.85 billion).

Reuters reports the company said its profitability target for next year requires a pick-up in European economic growth.
