Adecco relocating North American headquarters to Florida

March 24, 2014

Adecco will consolidate its North American headquarters operations in 2014 and move most corporate departments currently based in Melville, N.Y., to its existing corporate support facility in Jacksonville, Fla.

“While this was a difficult decision to make, it was a necessary one as we continually look for ways to create a more efficient organization,” said Vannessa Almeida, Adecco senior manager, public relations. “This business decision only relates to the Melville headquarters facility and does not impact any of our local branches in the Melville area.”

Adecco plans to keep its business-critical service center department and many information management resources in Melville, said Almeida. “Maintaining these key departments in multiple locations also aligns with our strategy to ensure business continuity due to a geographic based event or emergency.”

However, it will sell a facility on Broad Hollow Road and move all remaining Melville-based corporate departments to a new location in the local area.

Adecco in 2010 purchased Jacksonville-headquartered Modis, an IT staffing firm, and its parent company MPS Group.

Staffing Industry Analysts ranks Adecco as the world’s largest staffing firm and the second-largest staffing firm in the U.S.
