Accenture Q2 revenue rises 1%; net income falls

Accenture Plc (NYSE: ACN) net revenue rose 1 percent in its fiscal second quarter ended Feb. 28 to $7.13 billion. The increase was 3 percent in local currency. Accenture is a global consulting, technology and business process outsourcing provider.

Net income fell 39.2 percent to $722.3 million from $1.19 billion in the year-ago quarter. The second quarter of the previous year included the favorable impacts of a $224 million reorganization benefit and $243 million from final determinations of prior-year tax liabilities.
