ATS and Dunhill become Talagy

June 01, 2009

ATS Services and Dunhill Staffing Systems have a new owner and new name, Talagy. The Jacksonville FL-based company also has a new management team.

The Jacksonville Business Journal reported that Derek Mercer, the nephew of ATS founder Delores Kesler, has acquired the company.

The company announced that Mercer will serve as the company's chairman and Amy McGeorge will become president and CEO. Kesler will serve as chairman emeritus.

Mercer had served as director of information technology almost 20 years ago for ATS. Since then, he founded talent management software company Vurv Technology Inc., which was sold to Taleo Corp. in 2008 for approximately $128.8 million.

McGeorge was chief operating officer of Vurv.

ATS/Dunhill's services will remain the same. "ATS operated with multiple brands and business units," said McGeorge. "Talagy will consolidate products, services, processes and technology under the Talagy brand, offering clients better access to every type of staffing from one entity. ' Our goal is to break through the noise to deliver high-quality candidates while making the recruiting process more efficient and user friendly."

The company provides office/clerical, industrial, finance/accounting, engineering, information technology and construction staffing as well as executive search.

Divisions and units to be consolidated under the Talagy brand include ATS Technology, ATS Staffing, ATS Tec, ATS Executive Search, ATS Financial Services, Nimbus Recruiting and Dunhill Staffing Systems.

ATS had acquired Dunhill in 2007.

Kessler founded ATS in 1977. Part of the business became AccuStaff (now MPS Group (NYSE: MPS)) in the 1990s, and the other portion became ATS.
