The American Staffing Association’s index measuring employment in the U.S. staffing industry rose 3.7 percent in January from the same month last year. The index value for January is 89.

However, the value indicates staffing employment in January is approximately 4.3 percent less than reported in December, a typical seasonal decline, the ASA reported.
