AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AHS) named Michael Johns, M.D., to its board of directors. Johns is chancellor of Emory University in Atlanta. Prior to becoming chancellor, he led the Woodruff Health Sciences Center at Emory University from 1996 to 2007.

Johns also serves on the board of Johnson & Johnson, the Genuine Parts Company and the National Health Museum. In addition, he was recently appointed to the board of regents of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
