AMN Healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AHS), the largest U.S. healthcare staffing firm, named Bary Bailey as CFO. Bailey comes to AMN after serving as CFO and executive VP at Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, a specialty pharmaceutical company.

Bailey had been at Valeant since 2002. Prior to that, he was executive VP of strategy and technology for PacifiCare Health Systems Inc., a provider of managed care and other insurance products.

Bailey begins at AMN on July 20 in a transitionary role and will assume CFO responsibilities on Aug. 10.

He takes over from CFO David Dreyer. AMN announced in March that Dreyer was leaving to pursue other opportunities.
