Automatic Data Processing Inc. (NASD: ADP), a Roseland, N.J.-based payroll services and professional employer organization, acquired Asparity Decision Solutions, a privately-held firm that offers analytics to employers to help them design more effective benefits strategies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Together, Asparity and ADP will be able to better meet the needs of clients that are seeking ways to streamline the annual enrollment process, contain healthcare costs and offer their employees more personalized solutions to help them make smarter, more informed benefits choices,” said Tim Clifford, president, benefits services, at ADP.
