25% in Illinois and Wisconsin to add staff

Twenty-five percent of companies in Illinois and Wisconsin plan to add staff in 2010, according to a survey by staffing firm QPS Employment Group. Eleven percent plan to cut staff, and 64% anticipate no change in staff levels.

Also, 52% of companies said 2010 will be a better year than 2009, according to the survey. Eighty-six percent said the economy was the biggest issue facing companies.

The survey included 300 companies in Illinois and Wisconsin.

QPS has 21 offices in the two states.
