Firms buy Eagle Hospital Physicians

Eagle Hospital Physicians, an Atlanta-based provider of hospitalist contract services, telemedicine, physician recruitment and locum tenens, was acquired by private equity firms Highlander Partners LP and Flexpoint Ford along with Health Enterprise Partners.

Canada adds 35,800 jobs in August

Canada gained 35,800 jobs in August for a total of approximately 17.22 million jobs but the unemployment rate edged up to 8.1% from 8.0% in July as more people entered the workforce, according to seasonally adjusted numbers released today by Statistics Canada.
