In the week ended July 5, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial unemployment claims was 346,000, a decrease of 58,000, or 14.4%, from the previous week's figure of 404,000. The four-week moving average was 380,500, a decrease of 10,000 from the previous week's average of 390,500.
