Background and Criteria
The Peter Yessne Staffing Innovator Award is awarded annually to an individual who launched an idea, or took action(s) that:

  • Was a significant innovation from how the staffing industry previously operated or thought about particular issues
  • Has had a profoundly positive impact* on one or multiple parts of the staffing industry "ecosystem" (staffing firms, buyers, temporary workers, etc.). The impact could be on one firm, or multiple firms, but the scope/size of the overall impact will be a consideration in determining the winner of the award.
  • Has stood the test of time. That is, whatever was done has been around long enough to see that it has had a lasting impact and was not just a passing fad.
  • Is still visible/in place today, and will be for the foreseeable future.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* "Positive Impact" could mean any of the following (in no particular order):
  • Increased the usage of temps
  • Improved quality of temporary staffing services
  • Improved buyers' satisfaction
  • Improved temp workers' satisfaction
  • Improved the reputation/raised the profile of the staffing industry
  • Provided better information to drive improved decision making
  • Other improvements
